As part of its COVID-19 response strategy, the DfE is making grants of up to £2000 available to schools to access the digital education platforms: G Suite for Education or Office 365 Education to support schools and trusts to start using a free-to-use digital education platform.
Schools are able to register to receive:
- Funded support from an accredited partner to get set up on either G Suite for Education or Office 365 Education - the two existing most-used platforms.
- Free initial training (2 hours*) on how to use the platform, through online resources, webinars and peer-to-peer support between schools.
Schools are eligible for this support if they:
- don't currently have a digital education platform or,
- are not set up to use the platform fully.
The Education Data Hub team, in collaboration with the IT Services for Schools team, have created a guide to the considerations of participating in the scheme, which includes a short list of suppliers identified by us as suitable to deliver the works involved in the scheme to Derbyshire Schools.
We are asking any interested Schools to complete and return this short form.

Whether you chose to apply for the scheme or not, free training and support on all types of remote learning platforms is available from the National Centre for Computing Excellence (NCCE).
