What we offer

Advisory HR service (children's services), our Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualified or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) HR professionals offer support in person and over the telephone with issues such as:

  • disciplinary
  • grievance
  • staffing reductions
  • workforce remodelling
  • employee counselling.

Charges for the advisory HR service vary depending on the size of the school.

Additional consultancy support

By purchasing the advisory package your school will be able to purchase additional work at consultancy rates. This includes management of personnel issues, training courses to meet the needs of individual schools or groups of schools and trained mediators to offer confidential support.


We also offer a range of professional HR training courses for school staff and governors who would like to develop their skills and knowledge. Courses range from short generic taster sessions to more specialised courses on essential school policies such as recruitment and selection, appraisal, disciplinary and grievance and much more.

Our aim is to deliver high quality training to enable you to gain a thorough understanding of the subject matter, the wider implications on employee engagement and the relevant legal responsibilities. Headteacher appointments

As an additional service we provide governors with professional advice on statutory and procedural arrangements and on recruitment and selection processes. There is a one off cost depending on the size and type of school based on a percentage of appointed salary. For nursery and primary schools we charge 3.5% of appointed salary, this rises to 4% for nursery and primary schools with over 250 on roll. For secondary schools we charge 5% of appointed salaries. This excludes costs for advertising, venue and catering. We also provide support for other appointments in schools. Please contact us for more information.

Choose us

Our policies have been consulted upon and negotiated with the relevant trade unions saving schools' time in lengthy negotiations on conditions of service. We can help you to keep up to date with frequent changes in employment law and the impact on the contractual rights of employees as well as maintaining good employee relations both individually and collectively.
