The aim of the programme is to increase the profile of careers in health and care by engaging with young people in a range of settings, including schools and other education providers; and to raise awareness of the range of career pathways for care workers.
- 1 November 2017 - 20 July 2018
To achieve this, the programme is providing free careers guidance sessions in health and social care to all secondary schools within Derbyshire. Sessions will be provided by our expertly qualified careers advisers and supported by colleagues who work in the sector, including the NHS, PVI and social care.
Some schools are already aware of this programme and have expressed preference for us to deliver their sessions within the schools personal, social, health and economic (PHSE) class, whilst others prefer bespoke group work activity.
Schools can access the programme from September for academic year 2017/2018. In order to ensure you are included in this programme, please provide contact details of the person you wish us to liaise with by email.
