Many thanks so far for your support for the strategic review of support, services and provision for children and young people with high needs in Derbyshire.
- 5 - 6 November 2018
email: email@example.com or tel: 01629 532824 if you would like to attend, and please indicate which workshop you will be attending.
We are very grateful to colleagues for contributing views to the review so far, particularly to those who have completed the online survey that Isos has made available. (If you have not yet completed the survey, you can still complete it online. It should take no more than 10 minutes to complete and the findings will be used to shape our future high needs and SEND strategy in Derbyshire. The survey will remain available until the half-term break and will close on Monday 22 October 2018.)
For the next stage of the review, Isos colleagues will be pulling together and analysing all of the feedback and evidence that they will have gathered. At this point, Isos plans to bring together leaders and practitioners from mainstream education settings, schools and colleges for a series of workshops.
Through these workshops, Isos colleagues will share and test the emerging messages from their evidence-gathering, and facilitate discussion to shape the recommendations that colleagues would like to see come out of this review. These workshops have been organised on a geographical basis, to ensure colleagues are able to attend a workshop in their part of the county.
The workshops will take place on:
- 5 November 2018 between 10am and 12.30pm at Hilton House Hotel, 1 Mill Lane, Hilton, DE65 5GP.
- 5 November 2018 between 2pm and 4.30pm at Members Room, County Hall, Smedley Street, Matlock DE4 3AG.
- 6 November 2018 between 9.30am and 12pm at Ikon Church, Vanguard Trading Estate, Britannia Rd, Chesterfield S40 2TZ.
We would very much encourage headteachers, principals, setting leaders, senior leaders, SENCOs and inclusion leads to attend this workshop.
