This new webinar aims to provide a package of information and resources to schools, who offer support and supervision to front line staff working with children and families.

This initial webinar is free of charge and will be booked through the Derbyshire Learning Pool.

The course will offer a comprehensive insight into what makes effective supervision and what support you need to consider offering in order for staff to fulfil their role safely and effectively.

Aims and Objectives

The aims and objectives of this course are:

  • to understand what is good supervision, explore expectations and the different models available
  • to increase knowledge of the supervision tool for Early Help and other tools available for use in case supervision
  • to understand the importance of resilience building for children and staff
  • to understand how stress, anxiety and secondary trauma can impact on critical thinking, emotions and effective decision making.

We hope to continue running this online training from September with the possibility of a face to face course available as well. Future training dates will incur a cost and more dates will be released shortly.
