For the attention of headteachers.
Thank you for visiting the headteacher updates. There are a number of different resources and guidance which are available for schools during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
SchoolsNet has a variety of sources of guidance and these can all be found here; we are also working hard to communicate up to date information as and when we have it via the SchoolsNet bulletin.
All of the Department for Education’s coronavirus guidance for educational settings can now be found in one place on GOV.UK.
DfE’s main school guidance, the ‘actions for schools during the coronavirus outbreak’ will be regularly kept up to date. Any new advice for schools on specific issues, such as food, exams or safeguarding, will be linked from: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/actions-for-schools-during-the-coronavirus-outbreak
DfE also have a helpline to answer questions about COVID-19 related to education. Staff, parents and young people can contact the helpline as follows:
Phone: 0800 046 8687
8am to 6pm Monday to Friday
10am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday
If you are still in need of support or advice please email CS.BusinessContinuity@derbyshire.gov.uk with brief details of your question. We will triage requests and make sure these are answered by the appropriate person.
We also have a dedicated team set up to receive telephone enquiries so please call School Support on 01629 536789 who will be happy to assist with any queries you may have during the current situation.
