Our colleagues in UKHSA (UK Health Security Agency) are encouraging the understanding of infection prevention and control by rolling out their e-Bug resources.

These are for students age 3-16years and will be delivered over the next few days. They can also be accessed on the e-Bug website.

The e-Bug resources are tailored to each key stage and have been produced with UKHSA and the Association for Science Education and are mapped across the curriculum. Whilst we appreciate the return to school is a busy one, the benefits of ensuring pupils are aware of infection prevention and control at an age appropriate level are significant.

We have seen through the pandemic that the basics of hand hygiene and respiratory hygiene are the foundations that can help with disease control, e-Bugs help children and young people understand the importance of this in an engaging way.

It is hoped you will find the resources useful.
