While you can't come to them, let Macclesfield Museum come to you. The museum has a number of virtual sessions where members of their Education Team will host an interactive session with your pupils – all you need is access to Zoom and a web camera in the classroom. The sessions link to their collections and cover Ancient Egypt, the Silk Industry, WWII and the Victorians.
In each session your pupils will see artefacts from their collections and be encouraged to ask questions of their experts. Each session lasts for 40 minutes, can be tailored to each Key Stage, and can accommodate a full class at a time. The cost for each session is £30.
Victorians loved Christmas and Macclesfield Museum would like to bring some of that magic into your classroom through their Victorian Christmas Special. This session will introduce traditions from the time, along with story telling.
