Training

Training is on pause for now, while we focus on helping schools move over to Arbor and get familiar with the new system. We’ll let you know as soon as training sessions are back up and running!

DfE Sign-in

Please ensure the correct staff have access to the site at key times of the year - especially in readiness for census returns or pupil movement. You can find more details on the DfE Sign-in page.

If your school’s DfE Sign-in Approver is leaving, please ensure they transfer this role to another member of staff before they go - this will ensure continuity. Sorting it out afterwards takes much longer!

We also recommend adding a second Approver as a backup - this helps avoid issues if someone is unexpectedly absent.

The Pupil Census

Pupil census dates usually follow the same pattern every academic year:

The autumn census is on the first Thursday of October
The spring census is the third Thursday in January
The summer census is the third Thursday in May
