We need more homes for children in care in Derbyshire, that's why we've launched a county wide campaign to help us find foster carers and adoptive parents.

We are looking for people to become foster carers and give a child a loving home. We welcome people from all walks of life - whether you are single, married, straight, gay or trans. You can be a homeowner or renting. We want to hear from people of any ethnic origin, working or not. All you need is a spare room and to be aged 21 or over.

You don't need any special qualifications to be a foster carer, but all foster carers are people who care about and like children. Foster care is as varied as the children and young people who need looking after.

We need foster carers for children of all ages and abilities, including children with disabilities and siblings. You can talk to our foster carers and their families about the joys and experiences of looking after a child at one of our drop-in fostering events.
