East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) is delivering a free workshop for senior leadership teams on making informed decisions about cyber security.
- Location
- County Hall, Matlock
- Date(s)
- 13 June 2025
- Description
Attendees will gain an understanding of the free services that EMSOU, the region's Police Cyber Team, offers schools, and details of free staff training.
The day will include board level exercises, an input about the 'Cyber Choices' programme for students, and training that will give staff the confidence to understand the dark web in a safe way, so they're more equipped to recognise and manage instances involving the dark web.
We will also be exploring cyber threats and trends and how to protect/mitigate some popular cyber incidents, such as ransomware, phishing and denial of service - the most common forms of incidents in schools.
The event will be hosted at County Hall, Matlock on Friday 13 June 2025, 9am to 3.30pm.
