The five ways to wellbeing are simple things you can do every day to help boost your mood and keep you happy.
It's never too early for children to start learning about good emotional health and wellbeing.
It's really important to find, and practice, positive ways of thinking as they can help you through life's ups and downs.
There are some simple things that everyone can do that can help boost moods and keep you happy. They're easy to do and don't have to cost a penny.
They're known as the Five Ways to Wellbeing and they are:
- keep active
- take notice
- connect
- keep learning
- give
More information is available alongside useful posters and worksheets from the Derbyshire County Council website.
Public Health has been developing resources to support the Five Ways to Wellbeing. The Five Ways to Wellbeing are simple things that can be incorporated into everyday life to keep us emotionally healthy and are relevant for all ages.
To complement our Five Ways to Wellbeing posters, hard copies of which have already been sent to all schools, we have additionally designed a planner insert which is now also available to download.
These planners give information about the Five Ways to Wellbeing, options for young people to record their planned activity and referrals for further help if needed.
We hope that schools will add all these resources into their planners to support their pupils' wellbeing all year round.
