The Specialist Service for Special Educational Needs (SSSEN) information.
The Specialist Service for Special Educational Needs (SSSEN) works directly with identified primary age children as part of their Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan or through a referral from school, and children in maintained nurseries with long term and complex needs. We work in maintained nurseries and infant, junior and primary schools within Derbyshire.
The service aims to ensure the inclusion and achievement of children with special educational needs and build expertise and capacity within schools in Derbyshire, in line with current local and national strategies.
More information about SSSEN, criteria for support and referral routes can be found on the Derbyshire Local Offer.
