We aim to ensure that effective governance and control systems are in operation. It is our duty to provide independent assurance on the continued adequacy and effectiveness of these and to assess compliance against the government’s Schools Financial Value Standard (SFVS) framework.
It is important to note that, although the preparation of the SFVS return may be undertaken by a sub-committee, for example finance, the final submission and all supporting papers must be considered and discussed at a meeting of the full governing body. Once the school’s SFVS return has been approved, this must be signed by the chair of governors.
When the school’s SFVS return has been completed, approved and signed by the chair of governors, please ensure that a copy is provided to Audit Services via Perspective Lite (830nnnn_AUDsfvs).
