Spencer Apprenticeships are now entering their final window for applications for their Teaching Assistant (TA) training programme. As schools review their TA training and induction approach, they are happy to answer any questions about their offer.

The deadline for applications is 19 July 2024.

Who are these apprenticeships for?

  • New in post apprentice TAs
  • Level 1 TAs new to post within 2 years

To apply for a place, please complete the online application form.

The curriculum offer covers the full requirements of the TA apprenticeship, and additional bespoke modules to prepare colleagues for a career in education. This includes:

  • SEND specific modules provided in partnership with the Whole School SEND Team
  • Early Reading, phonics and supporting struggling readers training provided in partnership with the English Hub
  • Cognitive science and teaching with memory in mind and trauma and attachment provided in partnership with the Derby Research School.

The curriculum is deliberately built to align with the Early Career Framework to offer continuity across all staff members experience of professional development.
