Accrued bank holiday adjustments
On Monday 19 September 2022 there was an additional bank holiday in the UK to mark the final day of mourning of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and to coincide with Her State Funeral.
If your employee is part time and has worked additional hours or worked as a relief worker, they will receive an adjustment to reflect the additional bank holiday.
Part time employees who have worked additional hours and term time relief workers who have worked relief hours since 1 April 2022 will receive an additional payment backdated to 1 April 2022 which will increase the accrued bank holiday payment previously received.
52-week relief workers who have worked or will work relief hours during 2022/2023 will accrue additional hours in their accrued bank holiday leave quota. This will increase accrued bank holiday leave, taking account of this additional bank holiday.
This will take effect from the October 2022 payroll and will be backdated to April 2022 so please be aware that there may be additional payments made on payslips. If you have a query in relation to any payment made, please contact traded@derbyshire.gov.uk or alternatively please contact the team on 01629 535117 option 2
Telephony rollout by HR Services
HR Services have recently implemented a new telephony system, meaning that schools and their employees can now contact HR Services by phone using the number and options below. The phones will feed into employee laptops whilst they work from home.
Traded recruitment and payroll have a new telephone number (01629 535117) which will enable you to reach them directly. The number and options are below:
- 01629 535117
- Option 1 for DBS and advert related queries
- Option 2 for any payroll related queries.
This new telephony system will allow you to speak to staff in HR Services as and when you need to between 9am and 5pm. The mobile phones staff currently use will continue to be available in the short-term, but will cease to be used once the new system is embedded. In view of this we would encourage you to use the number above to contact both teams.
This is a new piece of software which our staff at HR Services will be using and will need your support with its rollout.
Thank you for your continued support of HR Services and we hope this change will enable you to reach HR Services more quickly and effectively.
