The exclusion letter templates were amended to reflect DfE changes to guidance which came into effect on 1st June 2020.
There has been a further amendment to the exclusion guidance which took effect from 25 September 2020. Please note that the standard letters have been further amended to take account of these changes.

The term head teacher applies equally to the teacher in charge of pupil referral units and principals of academies.
The term governing board applies equally to management committees of pupil referral units and the academy trusts of academies.
